Projects: Iford Manor, Somerset

We were contracted by Corbel Conservation to repair the historic buildings in the Grade 1 Listed Iford Manor Gardens designed by Harold Peto. These buildings were in poor repair having suffered water ingress over decades. Working on the buildings was very challenging as the repairs took place in the closed season during the very cold and wet winter months. However, it was a pleasure to reinstate the historic plaster and limewash in the Cloister, and to repair the roof of the hexagonal Summerhouse.
